How are our winners chosen?  Great question!   Our Executive Director finds three judges (typically outside the province).  Sometimes these judges are chosen with assistance from other Executive Directors and the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association. When submission packages are sent to the judges, ALL information that can identify the contractor is redacted.  At no time are companies identified to each other.

National Awards of Landscape Excellence

AUGUST 12, 2020 – Milton, Ontario – The winners of the 17th Annual National Awards of Landscape Excellence (NALE) were announced virtually on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. The NALE recognizes Canadian companies that have actively participated in significantly raising the level of professionalism in the landscape industry. Each province nominates members from the provincial awards of excellence competitions that are then entered into the national awards, entries are then judged by a panel of industry experts, with company names and locations redacted from each submission.

2019 AGM & Awards of Excellence

Fall Social

FALL SOCIAL - Friday, October 25, 2019

As the landscape season comes to an end, LNS member companies took their staff to the Annapolis Valley for a local brewery tour on October 25.  We visited Schoolhouse Brewery for lunch then visited Mercator Winery.  After, we went to the new Sea Level Brewing location in Sheffield Mills and ended our day at Wayfarer's Ale Society.  We made a quick pit stop before Wayfarer's to a local handmade treasure, The Faucet Fountain, in Port Williams.  Each of the 113 faucets has their own story and they all work!  Many hardscapers were on the tour and  they definitely appreciated the detail and artistry.

Already planning our Winter Social, look for the invite in your inbox!

Special thanks to our sponsors, Nova Turf and Nutri Lawn

Summer Social 2019

On Friday July 26th Landscape Nova Scotia their first 'Summer Social' sponsored by Nutri-Lawn.  This was a great opportunity for members to tour Nutri-Lawn facilities and  enjoy some lawn games.

Delicious food was provided by Grande Finales Café, snacks from Miller's Gourmet Kettle Corn and of course refreshments from Spindrift Brewing Company to keep everyone cool on a beautiful summer day.

Snaped Dartmouth stopped by to take some pictures.

A good time was had by all.
